The marvellous gardens of the Loire Valley
The Château de Villandry is one of the last examples of the great castles of the Loire erected during the Renaissance within the Loire Valley. The gardens boasting exceptional symmetry, a popular concept, require great care. Ten gardeners work daily looking after them; they primarily oversee the planting of 115,000 flower and vegetable plants and the cutting of 1,015 lime trees and 52 km of box trees.
